Hello and welcome to I4!
I'm so excited to be your child's kindergarten teacher this year. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was ten years old. This is my second year at Daniel K. Inouye Elementary School. Last year, I taught 1st grade! I hope to make your child's learning experience enjoyable, meaningful, and fun! I can't wait to see what this year has in store for us!
I grew up in Torrance, California and received my Bachelor's from California State University, Dominguez Hills. I played college softball all four years at CSUDH and also earned my multiple subject teaching credential from CSUDH as well. I taught two years in San Diego, Ca before moving to Ewa Beach, Hawaii in July 2019. In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach, watching movies, and going on adventures with my husband.
As a partner with you in your child’s education, I will do my best to encourage, support, and inspire your child as we work together towards becoming lifelong learners. I also believe in the importance of communication between school and home. I will be using Class Dojo Monday-Friday as my main form of communication. Please sign up for Class Dojo to connect with our class and stay in the loop! There will also be the occasional email. Please allow me 24 hours to respond to both.
An online school schedule for each upcoming week will be posted by Monday morning. The assignments for each lesson will not become available until the day they are to be completed. I will be checking online assignments every Wednesday. We will be using SeeSaw and WebEx as our main learning platforms.
Thank you for your flexibility in understanding that with our current situation all things will take time and patience to work through as changes in situations arise.
If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to:
Message me through the Class Dojo App

Let's have a fantastic school year!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Ott
